WE ARE STRONGER

The Liverpool City Region (LCR) is represented by five, long-established Chambers of Commerce who ensure that business communities across the city region are provided with a trusted, independent and authentic support network to aid business support and economic growth.

On key issues, all five Chambers come together, to be a single business voice, as together we are stronger.

This website brings together the collective intelligence and insight of the Chambers of Commerce in the LCR and profiles the initiatives, projects and campaigns where we pool resources and act as one voice for business.

Skills, and the skills agenda impact on all aspects of business and everything we do. The impact of the Covid pandemic and the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on jobs has created further impetus to increase skills and boost employment. The Government has announced a number of schemes to achieve this and as a group of Chambers we can play a leading role in supporting these schemes.

Business Growth: 90% of the future economic growth, prosperity and new job creation in Liverpool City Region will come from businesses already in the City Region. Chambers of Commerce across LCR deliver the Business Growth Hub – professional business advisors directing your business to the specialist assistance that can help you overcome barriers to trade and growth; and we collectively influence for the support and growth programmes you need.

Our foundations are local, our influence is national and our reach is global. The LCR Chambers of Commerce consists of five Chambers of Commerce based in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool & Sefton, St Helens and Wirral. We are part of a UK network of 53 independent Chambers (and a further 70 affiliated Chambers) that champion and support member companies employing more than six million people.

We have unrivalled expertise, networks and connections – if we don’t know, we’ll know someone that does.

We connect our members through events and communications programmes, providing peer learning, building networks, supporting business development and much more.

We open up the world, offering the expertise to access new market opportunities, customers and suppliers worldwide through our international network of 80,000 businesses and connections around the globe through our connection as part of the British Chambers of Commerce.

We are fully independent of UK Government but with direct lines into government departments at all levels. The LCR Chambers of Commerce are each based at the heart of our local business communities, and being SMEs ourselves, we’ve got the understanding, experience, data, insights and expertise to support your organisation.
